Wellington ...... yuk !!

The ferry crossing was as flat as a pancake, didn’t see any dolphins. We treated ourselves to some chips on deck, very nice.

We arrived at Wellington at 1.15pm and the sun was shining. We caught the shuttle service from the terminal to the train station and then caught the bus to the town centre. We had a 10 minutes’ walk up hill from there and even passed the Apollo Motel we’d stayed at.

We arrived at the Guest House and met John the landlord. He showed us to our room and then showed us round the rest of the hotel. It’s a bit of a step down from the Picton Hostel but it’s really cheap. We even get free internet and free breakfast.

We caught up with our washing as we were running low on undies and then walked back to the town centre. First impressions were that we didn’t need 2 days here, it’s just high street shops and we’ve no money to spend in them. We visited the supermarket for stuff for our teas and made our way back to use the internet.

Hopefully the weather’ll be nice tomorrow so we can have a walk around the sights.
